So I logged into the myWireless App and checked my usage. I had only used 868 of my 1500 allowed texts. Below that there was some red bar saying I had 1 overage on a text/IM message or something. Anyone know what this is and why it went there and not toward my remaining texts?

Have you called your provider to ask them? You can't get charged "long distance" for domestic texts.

Do you live on the border to another country? I live on the border to Canada and my phone will occasionally roam to Rogers or telus when I am texting so I get charged for international texts, but they usually remove the charges if I call and complain since they cannot provide me with a way to block my device from international roaming

Could be on of those online survey type things. I accidentally signed up for one and they sent me 2 texts a day and each cost me 4$! Luckly I got the charges taken off with a one time only service...

Texting subscriptions should be outlawed. Or at give me an option to disable all such "subscription" services on my phone. The carriers are simply greedy because they get a cut of the fees.

Did you happen to text in a vote for a reality show contestant like American idol or something? Perhaps some of those charge per text vote?
