Hello guys,

Since yesterday every time I restart my MacBook Pro Laptop I get a very weird window of text which I have no idea what is it and how to get rid of...

Please help.

Trying to find something on-line that can help. There are a couple of posts about it but nothing that jumps out.

Have you tried using MalwareBytes to see if it will remove it?

what's malwarebytes?

what's malwarebytes?

It is a program that will check to see if you have malicious software on your system. That "script" is something from Facebook and there were a few sites that thought it might be a key logger. My advice would be to get MalwareBytes and run it just to check and see if it is found.

I will continue to see if I can find anything on CavalryLogger
[doublepost=1513770557][/doublepost]All I can find is that this script is something to do with Facebook and the like feature. I don't think that it is malicious but getting rid of it might prove hard. You could search the system for that file name and then go find it and delete it. If it is something Facebook needs, I suspect it will get what it needs from the site.

So I installed MalwareBytes and as soon I launched it, it told me it found something and that I needed to restart, so I did it and once restarted the window was still there, so I run the scan with MalwareBytes and it found something and it asked me to restart again, so I did it again and once restarted the window was still there, now it shows file in the quarantine and is asking me if I want to delete them or not... what I'm supposed to do?

Spigot is an ad generator and a pain to get rid of. Once files are in quarantine, you can go there and totally remove them. If you are using Chrome, there is a chance they will come back as they are caught in the sync portion of Chrome. You have to disable the sync and then clean the system then re-enable it.

I removed the file on the quarantine and restarted the laptop and that stupid window is still there :( I'm using Opera for Facebook and Safari as well sometimes but only for YouTube and Netflix...

How can I get rid of that??? :(:(:(
[doublepost=1513771920][/doublepost]I'm not sure this is connected to the problem but I have this remote disc there which even if I press to eject it nothing happens...

Yeah, Spigot and that file have nothing in common.

I would do a search for that file name (it is at the top of the window) and then remove it. Did you install Facebook App, or do you just use the web site? If you installed the app, try deleting it and then reboot to see if that removed it.

Please check my comment above I added something and about the Facebook app, no I don't have it, I just use the website on the browser using Opera... and about the file name, I tried looking for the window file name and also spigot, I can't find anything... :(:(:(

I'll keep putting some thought into it. ;)

I think I fixed it... on the window that was appearing when I clicked on the curtain menu I selected desktop and the file appeared on the desktop, then I just deleted it and restarted and now it's gone... I'll try to restart one more time just to be sure but I think it's fixed and the solution was so simple and in front of my eyes all this time...
[doublepost=1513773378][/doublepost]I confirm you it's gone!!! :):):) Thank you so much once more for your help!!!
