Weird UI issue on M1 Pro

I noticed all my friends M1 Pro/Max machines have a rounded highlight when selecting the Apple Logo.

For some reason mine does not anymore... I tried to reboot. As you can see its rectangular.

Any idea?

Maybe your desktop background color?

What happens when you press (fn) + Ctrl + f2 from the desktop? It should set keyboard focus to the menu with a highlight similar that. This is on of the macOS accessibility (a11y) features.

This issue was caused by disabling "displays have separate spaces" in Mission Control.
