    Hi All,
I'm new to macs and am trying to fill in a table using pages. At the bottom of the page is what looks like a text box, one line deep and the width of the page. Once I get to the bottom all the text I type disappears behind this box rather than continuing onto the next page. Can anyone help

I suspect that is your footer. To confirm, type something into the footer, then add enough content to the page above the footer (even gibberish) so that it spills over to the 2nd page. Is the content in the footer duplicated on the bottom of the 2nd page? If so, then it is indeed the footer. If it isn't, then we are going to need a lot more details about what you are doing - the current problem description is still a bit vague.

But I'd bet it's the footer. You can turn the footer on and off (or in your case 'off and on' :) ) using the Inspector - the 1st tab.

    Hope this was it.
