Today I have an update situation in iTunes for Find My Friends. Logging into iTunes today an update for Find My Friends is available, when I go to download the update I get the following errors:-

    • Find My Friends is only available on iOS.
    • To get Find My Friends, search for it on the App Store on your iOS device.

Any ideas? anybody else? The update shows if you look in the yellow box as 'New for iOS10 - has it leaked?

You'll be able to delete stock apps (Like Tips, Stocks, Weather etc.) from iOS10, so they are being listed separately in the iTunes store for this purpose.

So if I have it already (as part of iOS) is it asking me to update my current version or expecting me add the new separate version? Either way its confusing, or is it that it shouldn't be there or offering me an update ahead of until we get iOS 10.

I have the same question. When I follow the instruction to go to iOS App Store an search for Find My Friends, I get nothing to update. Confusing, indeed.

You cannot update to the new FmF until you are on iOS 10. iOS 9 has it built in, iOS 10 has it separate again.

What seems to work, as a hack: in iTunes update screen, select the app, right-click > Delete. Ok, and then selected "keep files". Gets it off the update screen, and does not seem to affect syncs (eg. I use Podcast app, that was one of the apps with same issue, did previous, Podcast app still on phone with all my podcasts still intact).

Point is completely moot. FmF is preinstalled on iOS 9. Doesn't matter if its in iTunes or not. Same goes for Podcast. Its built in and therefore doesn't matter if its in iTunes, it will be on the device no matter what.
