Pre ordering has been up since 1 am PST or 4 am your time if you're in PA (guessing from your name). So they could have sold out in the almost 2.5 hours before the site went down.

You guys should try ATT, after multiple attempts with apple i thought i'd go to ATT and was able to order it and got the confirmation email in under 10 minutes.

I gave up on apple did pre order with AT&T new family account 2 iPhone 4's kept old #'s. I am currently using 2 jail broken 3G's with tmobile unlimited no contract plan.

Now can I backdoor these 3g's to the AT&T account while I wait anyone know?

Awesome, its back up for me and it still ****ing up.

same here. when i got up this morning i had the usual yellow post-it on the main store page. now it lets me into the store, and i made it as far as adding it to the cart, and thats when i got the "OOPS" message. oh well. i have to leave for work in a few minutes. i'll be taking the MacBook with me and tethering at my desk once i get there. Hopefully it will be straightened out by 7:30 AM EDT.
