well I cut the crap out of my upper lip and chewed up my hands. wasted a hour at urgent care only for them to send me to the er to get sown up.

Ouch that sounds painful. How long did the ER keep you after urgent care?

ya I scraped my palms both and the sides of my hands the worst and the tops. and got my knees some too. about 3 hours total about 1.5 hours to get back then they had a child that needed life care then took care of me. 9 stitches in my lip . I don't think my helmet hit though hI will check tomorrow my glasses were fine and my airbus came loose.

yep watch glasss airbuds and phone all fine. thought I lost a airbud but found it down my hoodie.

I feel your pain. I got stuck on a pot hole and took a pretty good hit to the knees. Not good enough though. My watch didn't detect the fall and no ER fun for me. Heal quickly!

Ouch! Glad it was only cuts scrapes and bumps though mate. Great to hear the Apple Watch feature worked too, I did wonder. It’s a very useful feature to have for sure.

Glad your ok. I’m getting sick of testing the fall detection feature . They even put falls frequently in my medical file. (Glad I had apple care on my watch and phone)

My first hard fall was last summer (in vegas it gets to be 120 degrees). I passed out bruised the hell out of my left eye and smashed my iPhone bad enough apple care replaced it instead of fixed it. After your fall did you wish someone videoed it so you can see what you did?

With this in my medical file I’m worried Apple might put custom messsages in future os updates like stay in bed so you don’t fall again.

ya I fell three times last year. first was my new electric scooter I accidentally popped a wheelie cause I had a heavy backpack on fell over and sure my rotator cuff (took months for them to finally figure it out) slipped on gravel and fell again not too bad. tripped on a hose and fell on my hands and that made my rotator cuff sing a sweet song of agony. I was screaming and cussing before I hit the ground on that one. but I did not have the new watch then.

After your fall did you wish someone videoed it so you can see what you did?

Another frequent faller here! One of my falls was down my back steps. I fell/slipped backwards into a brick wall headfirst and then rolled down the rest of the steps. First thing I did when I got back from the ER was to check my Ring video. Did it capture the fall? No, no, it did not.

Just fell forward off my bike then. Hit knee and hands. I’m sore but fine. Got up to my S4 beeping. Are you ok? Do you neee help? Nice. My first fall with it in and smiled toward Apple. For those that say it hasn’t worked, stupid question but have you turned on the feature?
