I have a series 4, and really thought I’d wait on the 6s. I know there’s not a big change from 4 to 5, although I really do like the always on display - it looks nicer than a black square on the arm.

But honestly, with the 5s at 299, and being able to likely get near 250 for my mint condition cellular version, there’s just no good reason not to. Even if I wind up wanting a 6, I won’t likely lose a whole lot selling the 5, and if the 6 doesn’t have any real improvements for me, then I will be thrilled to have gotten a good deal on the 5.

So, I’m excited! It should be here in 2 days!

Awesome! I love my Apple Watch....if it's costing you basically $50 to upgrade, it's a NO BRAINER!

Enjoy it, what color band did you get?

No reason not to at that price!

I'm new to S5 as well and I have to say I am impressed with how bright the AOD is! It's actually really, really nice. I don't keep mine on all the time but it is better than I thought it would be! congrats!

I got the silver with white sport band (BORING), but I have a lot of bands, so I don’t care. I mostly wear my Apple nylon buckle in the pearl color (I think that’s it - looks light gray). I love the nylon buckles - have it in several colors. I don’t wear sports bands often because they are just so darn hot. I think I only have my stone sport because it goes with everything.

I did order me some knockoffs of a couple of the new colors I really like, and, depending on how much I like the colors, I’m gonna order them from Apple. That new pine green is one, and the lemon yellow.

That’s kinda what I was thinking about the price. I couldn’t really NOT do it.

I wanted to wait as well, thinking the 6 might not be an incremental upgrade. However, I bought the 5 44 cellular for $288 through Sprint. Really couldn't pass it up.

My wife did the same thing. She had a 4 but when she saw the 5 at $299 she bought it. As it turns out I just switched back to iphone so I am using her 4. However, she now decided she wants a space grey 5 instead of the black one she bought so she also bought the space grey one lol. I'm taking over the black 5 series (which is only a week old) and we are going to trade in the old 4.

$299 is just too good of a price.

I had the exact same thought. Was trying to skip a generation but $329 from BB for the Nike 44mm GPS version too good to pass up. Hopefully I can get $$$ on Ebay for my series 4 Aluminum cellular. Pick it up Friday!

Where are you getting such good return for an old Apple Watch?

I actually sold it on eBay for 270 (plus shipping) so I figure I’m around 250 net.

Now, I sold a cellular version vs buying a non-cellular. I have just never been able to get my cellular connection to really work on either of my cellular watches (ATT issue - NOT watch issue), so going to a non-cellular just didn’t really matter at this point.

Ah I see. That makes sense. I try to avoid private selling and Apple gives you peanuts for exchanging with a new model so I didn’t bother to upgrade to S5 this year.
