that's the point.
So very true!

One of my wife's female friends had a similar experience. She and the guy are both really attractive people. She got pregnant (darn the lack of 100% guarantees for the pill!) and caught herpes. One time with him. Two big wins.

But he was hot.

Edit: BTW, I'm not trying to claim I've never done anything stupid. I've done lots of stupid things (not just talking about this particular area). I'm not proud of them. furryrabidbunny knows what he did was dumb. But I'm not so sure some of you others do.

I'm sorry. This is an internet forum, I posted my opinion on the article. You must be new to the internet, therefore - welcome!

Wow! did you listen to old HHGTG radio tapes and discover sarcasm? Impressive. From now on, when I read your posts I will hear only the unmistakable tones of Peter Jones. Hey, I rhymed!

But seriously raggedjimmi, It wasn't your opinon with which I had a problem, it was the disingenuous content of your post. I can understand where you'd think it was stupid, and you are welcome to post any such opinions. I'm just asking, was it really necessary to kick the guy when he was down?

To respond to the personal attack: *whispers, "Actually, this is Al Gore, and I invented the Internet. Pass it on."

EDIT: see also the "Edit:" section of jsw's post above. *wonder wtf happend to my literacy skilzs

Hope the next 9 months goes well for you.

I would suggest not using health insurance for your testing though. Even taking the tests goes on your "veiwable" health records - and can affect future coverage and costs. Anonymous testing at a clinic IMO is a better option.

Our county health department does tests for free. You municipality prolly does too. I agree with Chip about the insurance. ;)

Thanks for the kudos.

Public health departments aren't the only places to go. It may mean "bucking it up"; but the Gay community has testing sites that address the hours of operation issue that the OP mentioned.

Remember when you didn't talk to girls because they had cooties? It's years later, and you're still wondering the same thing about this girl.
To be fair, we don't know the OP's record either. For all we know, he gave her an STI.

I find just flat out avoiding sex is always the best option. Just wear teh most complicated pants known to man. If you're drunk enough you'll be too ****-faced to be able to take them off ;-)

christ...

i go to bed and this thread balloons lol. To everyone lecturing about the safe sex... I normally do have safe sex... this is the first time not. She was hot in my opinion... and I do not believe that she sleeps around too much... she text me a few days later saying how much she ****ed up on her end blah blah blah lol. I actually have a feelign I may have taken her virginity... because she was kinda upset after teh act, and she was in mucho pain.

I actually found one such site... takes people for till i think 7:30 and its about 15 minutes from work, but since I need to wait anyway... I'd rather go see my doctor and have a little better experience then some odd clinic worker. Worse part about how everyone is lecturing me... my friends have a lot worse habbits then me. I really don't sleep around adn I don't have a lot of history... I normally wait till i really know the person... I just thought she was a really cool person. One of my good friends on the other hand has about a new partner a week and doesn't care if he wraps up or not. He literally have a black book full of numbers. So sad.

Any word on.......birth control? Was she on the pill? Did she go morning after?

You might want to investigate further, lest you be in a really bad way.

That I do not need to worry about... saw the patch on the lower bakc.

I've never done this but I used probably the most ill fitting condom ever in one encounter and it was impossible to do much when the other party was literally crying with laughter.

I'm not sure I've ever seen such a stunningly incorrect set of claims in a post outside of the OS/hardware forums.

It's like claiming a PC can't catch a virus if you only connect to the Internet with a clean-looking ethernet cable.

What's incorrect about it? It's one person's personal history. She could be lying but I really doubt it(back me up, devilot). And I didn't say you can't get an STI, I just said the chances are much lower if there isn't an outbreak. The only problem for him is that there might be an outbreak he couldn't see because she was a female.

And let me change your analogy. I'd wager a PC could avoid getting a virus if the user only used it to browse certain web pages and didn't receive e-mails from unknown sources from a web-based account. Well, at least the chances would be dramatically cut.

And I also want to say that everyone should always use precautions and practice safe sex. I was just saying, since the deed is already done, the guy shouldn't stress so much about it.

what kind of virgin girl goes on the patch?

Ones who have particularly painful/irregular menstrual cycles. It can be a lot easier to manage if you're on the patch/Pill.

But equally the patch could have been an anti-nicotine one, an anti-histamine etc so you probably should check and make sure.

The other answer as to her being a virgin and crying is that maybe you're just not as...um... good as you thought? Or perhaps just larger than expected?

Thank you for saying that. I was gonna say it, but ya beat me to it.

And it's important to note that even if it was a BC patch, it wouldn't have helped against getting an STI.
