You don't have to have two dots. Move Contacts to the first page and hit the home button. No dots!

Technically you're right, but I will never put stocks or contacts on my front screen. Both are 100% useless to me.
Somebody REALLY needs to bring Poof! to the App Store.

They need to make an Apps Button, and when you hit that, you can access all of your apps, instead of them being on your front main page.

I remember, back in the day, when we only had one screen, and were grateful for the opportunity..,

Here's my home screen; I've been keeping it like that through every firmware version, just because I <3 the cleanliness of that arrangement. And yes, that's 2.0. In the spot under Clock, AppFlow lives in secret. I've given it a solid black icon and modified it to show no name, and then hidden everything. Change the calculator icon, and boom, it's all good :)

Wow, I can't imagine anything close to that number of apps that I'd actually find useful.

I have two full pages, including the pre-installed stuff.

1st couple responses were no help at all, but i thank everyone else. You are right, scrolling through 9 pages is a true hassle, and some sort of 'folder' system needs to be implemented.

The phone is capable of much more, and to put a limit on the pages only cuts into the apple store's profits.

wasn't planning on actually listing them, but since so many seemed interest, i'll mention a scattering of them...

if anyone would like my opinion of any of these programs, since there are no demos, feel free to ask.

To be honest, unless if you give us a list of your apps/screenshots of your homescreens, then there is not much we can do. Until we see what you have, the only suggestion that I can give if you don't want to delete them would be to remove all web icons on your homescreen.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't realize there was a second page

Weather and Stocks seemed like 'demo' apps to show people the sort of widget-like applications Apple initially wanted on the phone, they don't really serve much of a purpose, I think that those apps should be default synced applications through iTunes, but if the end user wants to remove Contacts, Stocks, Weather, youtube, calculator, clock, or photos Apple should let them. For Many people there are better alternatives on the App Store and if they would rather use one of those Apple should let them.

The App Button is a great idea. But it's true, with expectations of thousands of apps in the App Store, filling up 9 pages is not unreasonable. Apple needs to come up with a solution for this.

Appflow huh? I like the look! It's almost exactly like mine. I'm going to check the store right now...

And how did you modify the icon to be invisible? Is that an option within the app?

EDIT: Its not there... :\

How can you use 130 applications on your phone... seriously.

Do you have to update 10 of them each day?

i don't have every last one installed right now, but here's what i'm currently running. You'll notice there are no webclips, bookmarks work fine, besides, looks like i don't have the real estate anyway.

Should anyone take these screenshots as bragging about how many apps i have, that is not the intention. I didn't really want to have to post screenies, but since you guys said you'd like to see them, i did it.

on a side note, i don't notice any slowdowns with this many apps on the springboard. moving apps around, and flipping pages is just as fluid as ever.

again i'm willing to offer a few words on any apps you see here should anyone be thinking about a purchase.

aqua forest is neat, but it has a critical problem. terrible framerates when there is a lot of 'water' on screen.
it handles fluid dynamics incredibly, and impresses friends. but to play the game with any seriousness means you will be fighting poor framerates. maybe an update will fix.

crash is good. youtube has plenty of vids where you can see it in action. i'd recommend it.

photosharing? one word. airme.

You need the legal services of Lionel Hutz. You may remember him from such cases as Homer Simpson vs. the all you can eat restaurant, and his successful litigation against the producers of The Never Ending Story (running time 2 hrs). If I'm not mistaken, he also lobbied for fat carts in all grocery stores (and helped place them as close to the bakery as possible).

Only Lionel can help in this very special civil liberties case. What good is a store after all, if you can't buy every single thing in it??? More is more! Viva la more!

As a highly skilled attorney, my skill is $175 per hour.

aol, pandora and last.fm?

just use last.fm

there's 2 free apps.

second of all, the reason why he has so many is because he jailbreaked it.

The appflow idea posted above might work... if not maybe you can use poof, I don't know if it would help or not though.
