Is anybody really going to buy a Apple Watch and actually use it ?
Is anybody really going to buy a Apple Watch and actually use it ?
I just don't see the point of it . I think a watch should just be a watch .
Probably. I'm pretty sure I want a stainless one. It's really going to come down to pricing.
Then buy a regular watch.
just look at the android watches there basically the exact same thing and nobody uses them .

I can see why people want it because it is a apple product , but I really do not think it is going to be very successful , just look at the android watches there basically the exact same thing and nobody uses them . I do not think the technology is good enough yet to make a great smart watch device .
I think apple made the watch because people are saying they can not innovate anymore which I think is not true at all just look at the retina imac and the mac pro those are very cool .
The apple watch looks like a rushed product , I doubt Steve Jobs would have released a watch this early because it is just not ready yet . It looks to me like a beta device . I love apple and there products but I just wish they would focus more on the mac products .
I do. just wish the stainless steel one was about $100 less....
$100 lees that what?????
the rumored $500 starting price tag (for stainless)
People said the same thing about the iPod when it was released.
Apple made the watch because they want to make money. The retina iMac is cool, but hardly innovative. I also like the Mac pro, but it really does make a lot of compromises.
The original iPhone was announced 6 months prior to the day it shipped. The hardware and software were so unstable that Steve Jobs had a special routine he had to follow and he used multiple phones during the presentation just so nothing went wrong.
Mac products don't make Apple as much money. They've found their cash cow and I can't really fault them for sticking with it.
I still think the Apple watch is going to be a failed product . This is not reinventing the watch like they did with there other products I just do not see it going anywhere . Maybe I am wrong but I just do not think it is going anywhere it is just not a finished product and I think it is very much a beta product .
This seems to me to be a apple newton like product . Even though I still think the Apple Newton is awesome .
People also expected the iPod, iPhone and iPad to be the next Newton. You're sounding like a broken record.

To be fair, there were obvious and good uses for those products.
Ironically, failure and limited production run would make it more desirable for some watch/apple collectors, like the g4 cube. And it's not going nowhere, it'll go in to my watch display case 😎

People wanted to have music to take around with them and always have done since transistor radios then walkmans
People have wanted to have a communications device, and if it can also play music and take photo's even better.
People have for years been dreaming of tablet thin computers, having been shown off in Sci Fi films for decades, something small, thin and light to do things on that are too hard to do on a tiny screen.
With the watch, people have spend the last couple of decades getting rid of them, and stopping wearing them, as they now carry the phone which makes the watch redundant for many.
Other than it not being on your wrist, the phone does everything a watch can do and a million other things.
Not only that, you pretty much still need to carry the phone to use the watch.
Unlike the others it's not it's own product, just an accessory.
Whilst I'm sure it will sell to many, it's not such a MUST HAVE device as the others.
Perhaps you'll be right, but most of what you're saying sounds like the stuff said back in 2001 when the iPod was announced. Read the infamous thread 500 here when you have a chance, it's a hoot!I still think the Apple watch is going to be a failed product . Sounds very revolutionary to me.
hey - heres an idea Apple - rather than enter the world of gimmicks and toys, why dont you spend a little more time sorting out your pathetically expensive and crap server line up?
or are you really aiming to become a glorified consumer gimmicks firm?
I'd call it the Cube 2.0 as it wont sell, and be killed off in a short time...and it's not really functional.
Uuhh Steve, can I have a PDA now?
This isn't revoltionary!
I still can't believe this! All this hype for something so ridiculous! Who cares about an MP3 player? I want something new! I want them to think differently!
Why oh why would they do this?! It's so wrong! It's so stupid!
Thumbs down what a load of tripe!
gee! an mp3 player with a HD! how original! kinda reminds me of a JUKEBOX i once knew..
Thumbs down No ****** Way
All that hype for an MP3 player? Break-thru digital device? The Reality Distiortion Field is starting to warp Steve's mind if he thinks for one second that this thing is gonna take off.
revolutionary?
There are already two products similar to this on the market. The Nomad Jukebox and the Archos Jukebox which can come with a 20 gig HD. The iPod is obviously alot cooler and has firewire, but it is far from revolutionary. I for one am disappointed and think that apple is making a mistake by trying to get into this market.
Thumbs down Goofy Idea!!!
OK. For $300 I can get an in-dash MP3 player for my car, which is where I spend most of my travel time. For walking, etc., a Rio is fine. At home, it's right off the MAc or my stereo. Where oh where does a $400 (!!!!!) player fit into the scheme of things? Seems like Steve just wanted the coolest toy, regardless of its practicality.
I said the Cube was overpriced and should cost $1200, this piece of Sh... should cost no more than $90.
Apple is selling a bunch of overpriced things like the TiBook that won't be resellable for more than $1300 in less than 6 month because it is not upgredable.
This iPod is for spoil rich kids with insane parents or an Apple fan as fannatic as a Taliban. It has good features but forget about getting it for $399!!!! Never, who gets that thing is a very stupid person.
