Not sure what you are saying. Looks like a stretchable band broke? If so not a surprise - that's an eventual limitation of a stretchable band.

Theres a thread buried in here somewhere regarding this. Mine didn’t even make it a year (~8 months) and after reading that thread, I decided to just take the loss. All I need is for my band to snap and my watch go crashing down on the pavement. Luckily, mine snapped while I was putting it on over my bed. They can keep it.
I hear ya. Good thing you noticed that tear. The integrity of the material is compromised. Wouldn’t wear it anymore.So got the replacment today(different color, they no longer make green) and after one 5 mile run, it’s already showing a tear around the clasp. Granted, it’s a size 12 and my hand\wrist is huge so maybe I am stretching it too much but I don’t feel I am. I’ll just insist on a refund this time; I like the feel but clearly a design flaw.
Replace with a sport loop. One and done. Super comfortable, totally adjustable, won't break, can wash it. Problem solved forever.
