I so want that 10x zoom on the iPhone. Also, a fingerprint scanner makes it up for not having face id with mask, no?

I just absolutely cannot stand Android. I don't care what hardware it's on or what fork of it I'm using, it just offends every UI and design sensibility I have, and that's not to mention all the security problems and the presence of Google in your life at all times. I honestly don't even have a Google account and haven't for years solely on principle, so Android would be pretty useless as my daily driver.

I have the same basic reaction when I use Windows: "How was I ever able to put up with this?"

Last iPhone I had was the 5s. I went to Samsung (Android) so I could get better utility out of my screens. Apple continued its posture on 1 size fits all unless you want to get silly with their accessiblity 'stuff.' The Samsungs I had lasted quite well and here is my take away now that I just acquired an iPhone Pro Max.

Music - hands down Samsung does better and interestingly playback to Airpods 2 sound better via Samsung.

Widgets make the screens very useful for me with the iPhone. Really appreciate the use.
The iPhone handshake with my Mac works brilliantly (go Apple eco!)
The video is at this point a matter of taste as I have seen S21 and S22 video and its a reasonable match to iPhone.

It took me a few days to get used to the iPhone and honestly, would have been happy with the S22 but the little items of the eco system is where I put Apple ahead (for me) and I can deal with the music being slightly less than.

I’d never buy Samsung phone for its limited and slow update support. It took Samsung months to release current version of Android in my region. S7 Edge, S5e tablet. Both felt outdated pretty soon, and Samsung just stopped caring. Meanwhile iPhone 8 was perfectly usable, snappy as it was at first before I got iP13. But I guess for people updating their HW every 1-3 years longevity doesn’t matter.
