1. Do not bring a freaking newborn to the movies.

2. Do not pull out your nipple and feed said newborn right in front of me after returning from the concession stand.

3. Do not let your 2-year-old run around the theater for an hour, and then try to tell him he has to sit down and behave.

This is why we hardly go to movies anymore. Freaking people.

Anyway, it was good, although I was disappointed at everything that was cut from the movie.

And all of you grown men gawking over Hermione do realize that she's freaking 15.

snip...

we had a family sitting in front of us with their 2 kids who were probably 4 to 6 years old. the kids absolutely lost it in the first dragon scene...totally inappropriate movie for kids that young.

just goes to show you any moron can have a kid but you have to have a license to have a dog...`

Worth a watch then. ;)

If that makes it worth watching, Fleur Delacour will probably also give you some motivation. Plus the fact that the two times I went the theatre was packed full of 15 year old girls.. last night I had nightmares that I was being attacked by braces.. it was horrible

I saw it last night.
The acting was so horrible!

I swear, it was like a bad play put on by a bunch of 12 year olds.

I went with a few people.. one of them would start laughing, then another would, then I would crack up.
Mind you, these were in "intense" moments of the movie... the acting was just SO HORRIBLE that it was hilarious!

I shouldn't be allowed to see movies.

/gonna see rent on wednesday.

Well when Harry killed the dragon, the little bugger did yell "Yay!!!!" and the whole theater laughed out loud.

It did not make up for his stupid parents letting him run all over the theater - I mean like it was freaking Romper Room. So you let the kid do that for 2 hours and then try and make him behave...so what does the kid start doing? Screaming and yelling to "let me go!"

So back to running all over the theater.

The newborn yelled for ten minutes while the mom was gone getting candy and drinks. Then she yanks out her right hooter and the kid shuts up. I'm sorry, that is what breast pumps are for.

In the beginning there were two 13 something girls behind us and one was giving a play by play to the other. Rob and I let this go on for about 2 minutes, and then turned around and went "SHHHHHH!!!"

Um, PG-13 folks - don't bring your 2 and 3 year olds. It will scare the **** out of them. It's like when we went to see American Pie II and there were 8 year olds there with their parents.

I really do hate the mall and going to the movies anymore. People have no class, manners or consideration for others.

I had the best time watching The Skeleton Key. It was my wife and I, and another couple in the entire theater.

Went last night, went in an hour before show started and 90% of tickets were sold, thankfully we got good seats. Cinema was full once we got in. First time I ever been to cinema where they allocate seating, and had people showing you to your seat.
Anyway, film was great, I really like it. Though I felt by the end that there was something missing. No real hard hitting moment, the end just sort of faded out. I really like the relationships evolving between the characters, and you could see in their faces they had matured.

EDIT: oh and the new Dumbledore was awful!

Everyone keeps saying the "new" Dumbledore is awful like it's something new...Harris died two films ago...

I don't like the new Dumbledore, either. Poor casting choice.

I bet the parents had a fun time explaining some of the stuff in American Pie II to their kids...

As I go to movies to be entertained, my enjoyment is based solely on that criteria.

I was entertained by this one. I'm a big fan of the books - and not ashamed to be one - and seeing the movies revives the memories of the books. So, unless the movie is horrible, I'll tend to like it because I so much like the story. BTW, I think this was a good movie on it's own and the most emotional of them all so far.

I think the film did a great job of making a movie from a ginormous book. Stuff had to be cut out, obviously, and I think what remained made for a good story. Did they mess a few things up? Yes. Did those things detract from the experience? To me, no.

I preferred Harris to Gambon, but I think Gambon was fine, just not as stellar as Harris, who, to me, was Dumbledore.

Was the acting perfect? No. But it wasn't as wooden - to me - as others seem to think. I tend to get caught up in movies, so unless something is so bad as to pull me out of that and make me see it as a bunch of actors, I tend to overlook things (for example, to me, Tom Cruise makes it impossible to get immersed in a movie because he is always, to me, Tom Cruise).

I liked it.

the movie was good and the chick was cute....well all the chicks in the movie was cute except the old chicks. rent.....i'll pass, saw the play and didnt like it much and im sure i wont like this but the dawson chick is hot so i might give it a look.

Bless

at the Uptown movie theater in dc- best one in the city, in my opinion. old school theater- one big screen, balcony, curtains, etc.

just one of many things I miss about DC - I used to go there a lot, but I think I liked it before they replaced the old seats. Those new seats weren't as comfortable.

I'm probably going to go see the movie after Thanksgiving.

i thought the acting in this movie was better than the last three. and certainly not terrible considering the age of the actors.

I went to see it around 11:30 this fine morning and thought it was very good. I think we can all remember the time when we felt at that awkward stage in life and it showed in this movie. From what I remember about reading the book it was close but as mentioned by jsw, things have to be left out and other areas filled in by the viewer.
As far as the theater it was full but very well behaved and it let me focus on the movie and that itself was a joy ;)

Well im 16 does that make it ok?;)

I thought the movie was AMAZING. The best one by far I just wish they would have a 'extended' version that had the whole book in it becasue i could have watched that for days and days. I just think it was to short.:(

Yes, it makes it perfectly ok.

As to making an extended version of the movies I think that would be a wonderful idea. I haven't gotten to read all the books that have been made into the movies thus far, true be told I just started reading the books on Monday. I'm about half way done the second one now. They are great reads, and my memory is a bit dodgy, but I'm picking up some major differences between the books and the movies, and lots of little things that would be awesome to see in the movies that have been left out.

I agree with everything else you said, but this is hilarious...

What is the problem with a mom breast-feeding her baby in public? Never seen titties before? Don't be so uptight!
