So did I. What, you never saw Donnie Brasco?

Hey! I've been trying to create some new process/patent/program at work and give it a name whose acronym is P.O.O.P. It needs to be computer/microprocessor related.

I would LOVE some suggestions! I think it would be so FUNNY to have everyone including senior management be forced to say it! :D :D :D

I want to do the same thing, but it needs to spell out DILDO.

Oh no, this thing will have to go up mens asses, which is why it would be funny if the acronym for this thing is DILDO. :p

(it's related to prostate cancer treatment....and my PhD)

Well, if the owners of sites like these had complete ninnies making a mess of them, they'd be SMURFs:

Stupid Moderators Undermining Rumors Forums

For forum members being particularly annoying, there's TROLL:

Troublemaking Rabblerouser, Obviously Lifeless Loser

Or, if you're a DEMI:

Devilishly Erudite Macrumors Intelligensia

SQuID is a good one too (superconducting quantum interference device). :)

As for the up the ass method of detecting prostate cancer... mmm... yes, well, it does seem to work better than a blood test, at least slightly, does it not?

The DRE is pretty much a waste of time unless there's an obvious enlargement. Unless, of course, you enjoy that kind of thing. Combined with the PSA, they're almost useful in detecting anything.

Prostate cancer is not politically charged enough yet to have viable, specific predictive testing. (or as I told my doctor, not until we get our own ribbon)

However, as the prostate enlarges (as it does for all men), even though cancer goes undetected, we have spent billions on treating another problem related to that. Happiness in a little blue pill...

The getting a ribbon thing is a very good point. After all the publicity of the horror that HPV wreaks on women and the intensive focus to prove out the vaccine on girls first, suddenly, the news slowly trickles out that the negative health consequences of HPV for men might be worse than for women, and men might have a higher infection rate... le sigh.

An Automatic ATM Machine. :p

i wish. when i think atm, i have a slightly different definition (think *** to mouth)

on same vien, how about 'key in your pin number' - pin = personal identification number. so if the teller correctly says instead 'key in your pi number, you may never stop'

ps abstact, dildo = dickshaped instrument for loud, debilitating orgasms

A) Prostatic Oncological Observation Probe, which is just an Asynchronous Sphincter Spreader device.

B) Diagnostic Incandescent Locator Device for Oncology. It finds tumors with light. It should be noted, however, that this device should not be used for unlawful carnal knowledge.

The statistics are what? 1 in 3 men over the age of 65 will get prostate cancer. 75 its a 50-50 shot.

As for the DRE... my urologist said hello with a UFIA.

Most of the negative consequences for men for HPV can be circumvented by a common surgery usually performed in their first week of life. Its also been shown to be highly effective in preventing AIDS.
