I thinking about getting one of those white iMacs, the ones that came out before the latest one. I believe its the G5 iMac? Is that right?
Whatever, I looked on the internet obviously and couldn't find any site that sold old refurbished and used iMacs. Know anywhere I could find them? On the Apple Store they were out of stock.... :/

One more question, If I were to buy one, would I be able to install iLife 09 and Leopard?

    Thanks for your help. :)

    Here is one site: http://www.powermax.com/

You may find more, just search google for Refurb Macs or Old Macs for sale.

    Or, search the forums.

As far as iLife '09, probably not. If you want to use all the features of iLife '09, make sure you get an Intel Leopard Mac.

Another option of course is eBay- If your lucky, you could get a good deal.

I believe those iMacs are Intel based so you should be able to run Leopard and iLife '09 just fine.

I don't know where to buy an imac G5, but they later versions of the G5's were intel based. My dad still has his G5 and he can run iwork, but not ilife. If he was to put leopard on it though ilife would work perfectly fine.

iLife '09 will run on a G5, but some features won't work. And I still am pretty sure that the iMac G5 is Power PC only. The same case design as the G5 was used for the early Intel macs, but those aren't called iMac G5's.

    Hopefully to clear the confusion.

When Apple made the transition to Intel, the iMac kept the same case. So the iMac G5, which used the PowerPC G5 processor, and the white Intel iMacs, are nearly identical in looks.

The white iMacs came in g5 and intel configurations. I would definitely steer clear of the g5, and possibly early intel (?) models though. They're notorious for developing vertical lines in the display once theyre about 2-3 years old. Apparently this is difficult to troubleshoot, as it can be due to either a bad logic board or a bad display. My wife has one of these, and she seems to get a new line every few months. At least hers is still (barely) usuable!
