I have a 2008 Mac Pro with a serious issue concerning the logic board,, got the folder with "?" at startup and after much diagnostics and speaking with Apple tech it was determined the logic board is dead.

I have since purchased a new Mac Pro. So this one is just sitting in the box now. I was wondering if anyone had any success selling a mac with a serious issue like logic board failure? I was thinking eBay but wondered if there are any reputable refurb websites that will give you a fair price?

Thanks.

www.applecomponents.com if you are on the west coast may be of help

...or part it out - especially the processors. Pull them out and throw them up on eBay. Those are easily the most valuable parts from that machine.

You can also sell the case. Leaving the defective logic board (without the CPUs) in it might boost the price.
