Western Digital Crashing MBP

Alright did some research and i think i found the reason why my MBP is all jacked up...i constantly see the rainbow wheel and everything is just extremely slow on my MBP. i have a western digital external hard drive that I have used in the past and ever since then the computer has never been the same. This is the information i found in my console...like i said i've only been using mac for a year now and not really familiar with everything...can use some help...thank you in advance.....

Perhaps you oughta try uninstalling that SmartWare you got from Western Digital.

if i knew how to do that i would...i sent the application to the trash but it still shows up on my computer when i check the the activity monitor...am i missing a step here??
