Western Digital Scorpio Blue

is the western digital scorpio blue a good hard drive for a 15" MBP. i have found it on newegg.com for 54 bucks. dont wanna pass it up thats a killer price for a 500 gig hd. read some of the reviews for people that have MBP's bt it was . pretty much 50/50. any info would help
 
I THINK it all depends on which one MBP you have. I've got the mid-09 15" MBP, and I tried to install the Scorpio Blue, and I had no luck at all. Snow Leopard wouldn't install, and Snow Leopard wouldn't clone. I left it running over night, thinking it might just be a slow process, and nothing at all happened.

I keep wanting to upgrade mine (even though I don't really NEED the space), but that last go-round with an upgrade scared me into not wanting to do it.
