Can I install this hard drive:
Western Digital Scorpio WD3200BEVT 320GB 5400 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Notebook Hard Drive

    in my:
    Macbook 2Ghz C2D Conroe?

    Intel ICH7-M AHCI:
    Vendor: Intel
    Product: ICH7-M AHCI
    Speed: 1.5 Gigabit
    Description: AHCI Version 1.10 Supported

    ------------
Will it work? If it can be installed, it seems like my SATA speed is 1.5 Gbps, so can installing a 3 Gbps Scorpio bottleneck it and disturb the performance of the HDD?

From the customer reviews I read on Newegg.com, the Western Digital Scorpio 320GB is compatible with the Macbook.

    It works great

I have an original Black MacBook with a 2 GHz original Core Duo.

    Max.

I've had one for two months now. It's well worth it. Try Google or Forum Search next time. Surprisingly enough there are reviews on NewEgg about users installing it in MacBooks.

It will work as all the previous posters have mentioned.

You don't have a 'Conroe' MacBook btw since the Conroe was designed for desktop uses. You have a Merom at the best :)
