First of all I will chalk this up to being extremely tired. Getting home at 2am after seeing Metallica and then getting up at 6am to get ready to head to VZW.

So I had the girl at VZW leave the plastic on our XRs after all was done. Got home, restored the back up from my 7 plus and proceeded to install my tempered glass screen protector. All went fine. Perfect alignment. Zero bubbles. Except for the fact that my dumbass forgot to take the plastic off the screen. Doh!!!

And I only realized it when I was installing my girlfriends and used the sticky pad to remove some dust. The plastic pulled up.

Guess I will leave it be for now.

Yup. Thats' pretty boneheaded! :D

P.S. I mentioned a great Spigen tempered glass option that comes with an installation tray, in my XR review thread here:

P.P.S. This is one reason I usually buy at least two screen protectors, although it's less critical with glass ones since it's easier to do it cleanly with glass.

I wanted the Spigen but it wasn't available to order on amazon yet and I wanted to have one ready. Supershieldz are nice though. I had one on my 7 plus. It has a great oleophobic coating. I'm considering the Tethys. It comes with the installation frame and also covers the notch area.

Haha that’s comedy.

A good story with my cup of coffee this morning. No real harm except the loss of a little money. :)

Not really. I'm probably going to keep it on there until it gets a crack or a chip. You honesty can't even tell unless you look close. Double protection.

I am the worst at applying those screen protectors. Two times I mixed up the screen protector with the plastic that is usually protecting the screen protector out of the box and applied the wrong one while throwing away the actual screen protector. I kid you not. Now I let them do it at the stores for me. Especially on a black front I can barely see how to aligns it properly on the camera holes etc

Funny little follow up. So my shipment of new screen protectors just arrived. I peeled the plastic off the phone with the other screen protector still attached. Figured why not. Peeled it off of the plastic and laid it on the screen. Went on perfectly with zero bubbles or raising. Just like I had applied it for the very first time. So now I have back ups for both of our phones.
