Because that was years ago when taking a day or two off work to do that was no big deal & b4 I had a kid that needed to get to school
[doublepost=1509162582][/doublepost]
I had an iPad, and 3 phones ready on the app. The iPad loaded first, then a 6S Plus. Then the 7 Plus.

The 6 Plus took over 15 minutes to load. It stayed on the “we have something...” page the whole time. Even after force closing and reopening.

Really weird.

Lots of errors. Had to manually enter my carrier info. Verizon servers crashed. App crashed. Reservation ticket. Switched to pickup.

Still managed to get 4 for Nov 3. But it was not smooth at all. And I had all my info preloaded. Configuration saved to favorites.

I have a 7 that it made me use... Next time I’m not messing with the pre-processing crap, my MBP was loading the website by 5 or 6 after

So why the hell did most people seem to breeze through the app and others got blocked?? That just pisses me off even more
Yep, I kept hearing how easy the app was, so made sure I had my favorites and payment info set and ready to go. I literally opened/closed the app every 10-15 seconds starting at 2:50am EST and wasn’t able to get in until 3:10 (website even later), then when I tried ordering, my favorites didn’t work, so I had to start the configuration over and Kept getting an error when Apple was trying to connect to Verizon, so I just gave up. Luckily I had 3 devices going and was able to get through Verizon’s website at 2:55am in less than 2 minutes with a Nov 3rd delivery. Ordered another through Verizon at 3:15 and got a Nov 3rd date on that too. Going forward, I’ll stick with my carriers site.

I suspect Apple does not open the flood gates exactly at the same time for everyone/everywhere. This could be by design (to prevent their systems from a potential collapse), or simply a technical/timing issue. This won't be the last time when some people are able to get in immediately while others have to wait a few precious minutes.

Ok like 2 or 3 minutes, maybe, 15+ minutes is BS... plus penalizing returning IUP customers is also BS

I had the app, Apple website and carrier site all going at the same time and being refreshed constantly.

Whichever popped first got that order. In my case it was carrier site.

Phone will be here 11/3 as of right now.

My carrier site was ready ten minutes ahead of schedule. Which I found surprising Over the Apple application.

iup users are no more deserving of a place in line than anyone else, and i’m an iup user.
dude, the reality is, when you’re selling a gazillion phones all at once in 57 countries, someone has to be first and someone has to be last. you can only put so much water through a pipe at the same exact time.

you cannot make a half million transactions per minute across 57:countries. some get throu, others wait. if you have 100 people al, head for the same doorway at the exact same time, some will, get throug the doorway and some will ina little bit when the crowd dies down and someone will be last through the doorway - even when they all head for the doorway at the exact same time.

I’m not saying I think IUP customers deserve special treatment, just that they shouldn’t be penalized... If I hadn’t followed their suggestion to do the pre-auth I could have ordered from any source like anyone else. Instead *because* I did the IUP pre-auth, I could *only* use the app on my phone. I tried Verizon and the Apple site and both said I had already started the process and *had to* complete the order from their app from my phone which did not unlock until 15+ minutes after everyone could order :(

I was in and out within a few minutes.

The app sucked for me, but I was prepared with my laptop. Was done ordering before app ever came up.
