I was reading about all the different stores and all the lines outside them, and I thought to myself: Will the Company Store at 1 Infinite Loop have any iPhones, and is anyone there to buy one?

Somehow I doubt it. Simply because the Apple Campus would be mobbed.

The Company Store generally doesn't sell a lot of hardware. I live a few miles from there, and it's designed to sell Apple-branded merchandise, like coffee mugs, hats, shirts, pens, jackets, etc. They have hardware on display, but they're not designed to deal with general retail equipment purchases.

They have software, and they sometimes have smaller hardware, e.g., iSight, back when it was separate, but I don't believe they ever sold iPods, and I would be surprised if they were selling iPhones, particularly since all employees will be getting one for free in a month. The Company Store is there primarily to market to employees, friends and family, and the occasional rabid fanboi (and note that, since I've been there many times, one could argue I qualify). It's not meant to be a retail store replacement.

Besides, to be honest, hanging around Infinite Loop is rather dull, unless you know employees. There is no angelic choir, no foot soaks and massages, no free Segways, and no topless chorus girls. It's just a business campus, like every other in the valley. But hey, at least there's free wifi on-campus.

Well I know they sell iPods because the 2 times I've been there (Averages once every 7 years for me) they've had 2 or so rows dedicated to iPods and accessories, so I figured an iPhone kiosk or something could be fitting for someone who say knows an Employee and wants one too.

...And yes it is fairly dull. :p

Hm. They must've either gotten the iPods since last I was there, or I'm just misremembering. I distinctly remember going in there one day with a friend of mine who works there (yay, employee discount!) and looking for either iSights or iPods, and being told they don't carry them. Maybe I'm just confusing the two in my memory.

Were they up on the wall shelf cases to the left of the checkout counter, before you get to the part with the software and the desktops on display?
