i could be wrong though. i've just wasted about 20 minutes searching for some damn specs on the alienware box. i am going to guess it's a few inches taller, but not more than 5. what a shameful company; how could they omit such a crucial detail? if i am thinking about buying it and i have some size restrictions due to a desk or something, what am i going to do? that's so stupid. they should have a PDF spec sheet somewhere.

Great point. I can't fit like 56 cm tower on my desk. I have cabinets like 45 cm above....

The G5 is a bit smaller, but not by much. I think it's not as wide or deep as the Alienware, either. The G5 is a monster, but I've seen pics of it side by side with the MDD G4 units and it may be bigger, but not by a vast degree.

yes, if you know how big the G4 tower was, the G5 tower is slightly taller, and a good bit thinner. it probably has about the same depth, i have never noticed.

edit: gosh, i get up in the middle of my post to make an omelette, and someone beats me to it! oh well.
