Will do, do I need to set up an appointment with the Genius? :)) Feels like I'm getting a one on one session with Einstein's grandson.

Thanks for the advice guys
I have to agree, the term "Genius" is a bit over the top even for Apple.

No, you don't have to make an appointment but it does not cost anything and it will allow you to pick the time rather then just standing around an Apple store waiting for that cool Apple Genius to decide your fate. If your nearby Apple store is busy, you could wait 1 to 2 hours. How much is your time worth? :D

Dave

If you put it that way my friend, my time is priceless :D:D lol.
In my free time I value my presence around my friends @ at least $250/hr. So I'd be wasting more than the iPhone's even worth.. hahah

Priceless. :cool:

Sold it for $600 on ebay! Now i just need one that works, so today I'm going to the :apple: store!

@OrangeDud: :eek::eek::eek:

lolll

@spikedfo: shaaaaaare!
I hope you sold it as a Apple refurbished iPhone 3G that is carrier locked to AT&T. I sure hope you don't get ripped off on eBay by someone like you. It would have been safer for you to do it via Craigslist. Keep us posted on your adventure with the Apple Genius.;)

If you manage to get a refurb from Apple expect it to be 2.2.1 and Baseband 2.30. No yellowsn0w for you.:apple:

Someone like me Dave? So quick to judge... tsk tsk

It's alright, here in Michigan we still got snow so taking a piss in it, won't take much. FYI I sold the phone as USED (not refurbished) and obviously NOT UNLOCKED. Karma is a bitch and I had my fair share of bad luck with phones, so it's finally turning around ;)

Apparently there was nothing wrong with the iPhone! The usb cable was messed up, took it to the store and I got another cable and shipped the phone so everything's good.

You guys are waaay to quick to judge :p

Chillax :)) thank you for your input, I wouldn't do that... I bought it for $400 off a dude on craigslist, phone worked perfect, the guy sold it cuz he upgraded to 2.2.1 like an idiot and couldn't unlock it anymore. So I bought it in the hopes of being able to unlock it but noooooo... yellowsn0w melted away and all I was left with was a 16GB iPod Touch so... I already posted it up on eBay, it's just I wasn't expecting it to... stop taking a charge :confused:

Just because you bought it from some dude on craigslist doesn't mean it isn't stolen and if go to the apple store and it is stolen you will not get it back and you will have a conversation with an officer from your local lawenforement agency.

Double post and I trust my sense of smell when it comes to people, and this dude was quite alright, drove to the bank in his Escalade so I can take out the money to pay him etc. so... people need to stop assuming!

That's interesting. The last thief I locked up drove an Escalade. He was very good at talking people out of their hard earned money.
