What am I doing wrong with my MacBook pro ?

Hi, I have a top config MacBook pro 15 inch 2017 late model.
4K timeline of 15 minutes take more than a hour to render in FCPX.
But my friends with same config says, it takes only 15 minutes for them for 15 minutes 4K timeline for simple h264 exports.

I have tried resetting my SMC and PRAM etc but no good.
What am I missing ?
 
Did you try running the same operation with the same file on your friend's MacBook? Did it take much less time than your MacBook?
