Yes, I have to agree with that; properly articulated disagreements are one thing, but posts dripping with corrosive contempt and substituting insult for argument, while masked by the cloak of anonymity the internet bestows, are profoundly unpleasant and deeply depressing.

All those dislikes aside, the internet is a truly wonderful and expanding "universe" and long may it thrive and expand.
Actually, I agree with your entire post, but especially the last sentence. The internet has been a superbly liberating space and an incredibly amazing source of information, discussion and debate - at its best. It is certainly the most revolutionary change I have experienced in my life - literally, I have found it transformational in the way information is accessed, retrieved, and processed.

When people type/write in "text lingo".
You have a full keyboard. Use it to it's full capabilities.
Even on a phone it annoys me. It's barely saving you 5 seconds..
