For me, without a doubt, 99% of my usage is Google Chrome.

I surf the web a lot (Twitter, Youtube, Khan Academy and Wikipedia for school, eBay for video games, etc)

The only other apps I really use are Mail, iMessage and iCal.

I sometimes also use notes, iTunes, Google Drive, and a few others like KeyNote.

I use Safari, Pages, Preview, Spotify, FaceTime, Photoshop CC and FCP X the most.

In no particular order;

Nightly
WebKit
Mail
iTerm
Aperture
VMware
Sublime Text

I use Safari extensively, a program called Maple (Version Vr5 under Windows 7/Parallels) and Version 14 for Mac. Word and Excel for Mac, iTunes when really necessary. And Mail.

Wow! So many apps I've never even heard of. I'm going to have to google a lot of these and see if they can be helpful to me. I didn't realize there was SO many things you can do with a Mac. I'm essentially using mine as an iPad

There are a few programs I have always running in the background:

BetterTouchTool
KeyRemap4Macbook
QuickRes
Boom
PCKeyboardHack

Then there are programs I run frequently:

Chrome
Preview
Bean
iDraw
TextEdit

And occasionally:

TextWrangler
Xcode
Terminal
Numbers
Acorn

Plus a bunch of other programs that I rarely use but I’m glad I have.

iCal does not exist... Calendar does. :apple:

I googled a lot of these apps I didn't know about.

Most of them are either video or photo editing software.

What do you guys do?

I never take any videos, and occasionally take a photo selfie if I'm at a party or something.

Safari
Mail
Phtosohop CC
Lightroom 5
Aperture
Disk Doctor
Photomatix HDR
iTunes
Onyx

Not in order, but I use them a lot.

Finder
Preview
Lightroom
Intensify
Photoshop
Da Vinci Resolve
iMovie
Safari
Airmail
Pages
Word
Notepad
