It cannot be seen, cannot be felt,
Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt,
It lies behind stars and under hills,
And empty holes it fills,
It comes first and follows after,
Ends life, kills laughter.

Auto, but via shortcuts because sometimes I feel blinded by white as the sun rises and sets.

Auto, including the home screen icons. I've always used sunrise/sunset times but it does mean that in the summer here, dark mode doesn't go on until about 9.30pm, and in the winter it's on by 3.45pm. Might make a custom schedule this year!

Auto with custom times set. I don’t mind light mode during the day and prefer it as I’m outdoors a lot and find it much easier to see my screen.

Kind of a 'manual auto'. When it's dark in the house, I put my phone in dark mode to be easier on the eyes. Otherwise, light mode is easier to read and makes the phone feel more 'open'.

I'd be interested in using light mode occasionally if it weren't for the app icons with white backgrounds: Gmail, Safari, Google Maps, YouTube. For whatever reason fully white backgrounds look terrible to me, so I just use dark mode 24/7.

Those who use Dark mode all the time, do you also enable dark icons as well?
Yes, but only because clear/tint do not allow the notification dots to stay red. If they allowed a single accent color for those, I would probably use tinted icons, but it is too hard to see the badges as-is.
