Anyone have any clue what the app with the purple logo and white frame is?!
It starts up when I bootup, and appears on the task bar for s plit second then disappears.
However, it is obviously doing something for 33 seconds.

First of all, you want to GET RID OF "clean my mac".
That's one of the worst pieces of crud you can have on it.

I'd suggest you get rid of the Avast software, as well (unless required by an employer).

Then, I suggest you try this:
Download MalwareBytes and run it:

IMPORTANT:
Select the "home" option.
It's a FREE download

IMPORTANT:
You DO NOT NEED TO BUY A SUBSCRIPTION to run MalwareBytes.
It will run FOREVER IN FREE MODE.

When you open it, IGNORE the button to "Upgrade Now" or "Activate License".
Just click "Scan".
Again, you DO NOT have to buy the pay-for version!

Seems like the OP has checked out. However,

Do you see the same icon in Activity Monitor > Energy?

That's a good place to look for remnants of apps that were not properly uninstalled...
