I used to love the old Sierra and LucasArts games like The Dig, Full Throttle, King's Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, etc in the 1990s. Then I just stopped playing games for a super long time. I understand TellTale is (or was) making games like that. Does anyone have any recommendations for something on an M1 Mac? Whether that's on the App Store, Apple Arcade, Steam, GOG, or whatever else.

Leisure Suit Larry or any of the Larry games are pretty decent on iOS -- they may be on Steam too.

I used to love the Sam and Max games lol.

King’s Quest is on PS4 but I am not sure about iOS … I actually have never played the game. I may need to look into that. I really like the Larry series on iOS — admittedly I never played it in the past. Who remembers the Monty Python quest for the holy grail game on desktop back in the day!? Or Myst — there is for sure an iOS port for that

Strong Bad’s Cool Game For Attractive People is good stuff. The weird thing is that it says there’s a Mac OS version, but I can’t see any confirmation of that.

It also says it didn’t make the 32-bit cut, but I can’t find a MacOS version in general.

I just checked out GOG.com and this is much closer to the types of games for Mac that I'm looking for. Including all my old adventure favourites. WAY better selection than the Mac App Store, Apple Arcade, or STEAM.

GoG is great, Valve is garbage.

Since you mentioned TellTale, I thought the first part of the Walking Dead was incredible (even if you don't like the show). You had to make some really tough choices and they come back to bite you when you least expect it!

The Wolf Among Us was great too and they're finally making a sequel.

I did find out last night that the GOG game installer won't work on my son's M1 iMac... So they'll at least need to update that. I don't know if the games will run in Rosetta 2 once that's updated.... Shucks... I really thought I'd found the solution. So many great old adventure games for VERY cheap. I don't want to put them on my work MacBook Pro (Intel).

Maybe not quite what you are looking for but the new humble bundle has all the Myst games. It’s 12 games for a minimum donation of €8.50 ish and 8 of them are Mac compatible.
