I have a Samsung Display that is connected to my old MacBook Pro. The Samsung Display is extremely dim and yellow when I turn on the "Eye Saver Mode".

I think it's the display's problem, but I'm trying to change the settings and see if I can fix it.

I opened the System Preferences and the Displays. There are Display, Color, and Night Shift but I do not know what to do with them.

I happen to see an article on the internet, and wonder if it got anything to do with the "extremely dim and yellow" of my external display.

A look at the new Pro Display XDR fine-tune calibration settings in macOS Catalina 10.15.5

I do not understand what the article is trying to say. Another question is that "What does the Color Temperature in Night Shift mean"?

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried adjusting the monitor settings using the menu options on the monitor itself? My LG monitors can’t be adjust through Mac settings and I need to do fine tuning through them directly.

Regarding color temp, you can adjust the display to appear warmer or cooler in color depending on your preference when it goes into night shift mode, which is designed to reduce eye strain when using the device later in the evening.

So how do you fine tune your LG monitor?

What is "warmer color", and what is "cooler color"?
