What are my options for replacing my video card?

I'm on a 8core 2.8 with a radeon 2600 and i think the vid card is going to completely crap out on me soon.

I'm looking for a reasonably priced video card that is good for video editing and a little bit of gaming. Video editing is highest priority.

What is it with these ATI 2600? Your probably the 7th including myself that have had problems in the last month or so that I have heard off. And the cards aren't that old.

For a bargain basement card, the NVidia GT120 does not fair too badly in that Barefeats test by all accounts. Not the fastest, but certainly no slouch either it seems. The ATi 4870HD does not seem to be runaway improvement that the stats/graph on the Apple store would suggest.

BTW OP im more than happy with my flashed pc 4890 and you dont need to know a great deal of 1337 skillz 4 dis one.
