It's just not as smooth as my iPad 2 and a lot of games have special effects that are left out on the iPad 3 that are on the iPad 2 because the device can't handle the graphics. I think I just upgraded without doing enough comparisons and have buyers remorse. Lol

Oh, yeah, I'd totally forgotten about iPad 3 not being able to handle graphically intensive games, as I don't play those types of games myself. Hopefully iPad 5 brings a more powerful processor as well as being lighter than the 3! (fingers crossed :D)

I have an iPad 4th Gen, a Surface RT and a Nexus 10.

Right now I pretty much only use the Surface right now. I got the install hack which lets me run some x86 apps on the desktop. So I loaded up a Dos emulator and a select few games that have been modified a bit and I am golden. (I also have a few emulators for console systems) Plus I get much easier access to my systems and the such. My GF uses and loves the Nexus 10 while my daughter is the only one who uses the iPad.

I think what I am looking forward to the most is a Haswell based tablet or hybrid. The latest Sony one pulls an impressive 10 hours with an i5. So if a refreshed Haswell Surface Pro gets released this year I will be all over it. Also if a Haswell Razer Edge comes out I might look to purchase that aswell (Assuming they fix all the horribly crippling bugs with the first one). None of the "light tablet" os based tablets really interest me anymore. I got a Note 2 and it fills my Android wants. I ever did buy a non Win 8 tablet it might be Sammy's next Note Tablet just for S-Pen. I like to doodle and do not really care much for iOS anymore.

IPad 3, Nexus 7, Playbook, and Kindle. Nexus 7 gets most use because it fits in coat or even jean pocket. So it travels real nice. Playbook has best OS with swipe on and swipe to multitask. Also has HDMI out if I want to go big screen. IPad 3 is used most for work and for apps and the morning paper. Sometimes iPad is left at work so I have it there but don't have to carry it in bag on subway.

I'm looking forward to iPad mini with retina. I don't trust Google ecosystem or the apps. Besides my junk gmail account, I won't even access email on it and I won't buy anything but the cheapest apps. I'm expecting this to be a very short relationship which ends when apple can put a great screen on the mini.

Hoping for an amazing Surface Pro 2 with Haswell! Got a Samsung Ativ 500T and its actually a pretty good fit for me needs, but Surface Pro 2 could possibly replace that and my laptop.

Presently using an iPad Mini and love the portability. I plan on getting a Mini 2 assuming it is retina and the processor is capable (don't need to revisit the problems the iPad 3 had) but I will also consider the new full size iPad if the rumored shrink in size and weight holds true.

While I've come to enjoy using Android on my phone, don't have any interest in the current (or upcoming) crop of Android tabs, just cannot compete IMO. I'd actually consider a Windows tab as well, just have seen anything that's caught my eye (right combo of horsepower, battery life, size, and price).

Surface 2 will most likely be pretty insane, especially with Haswell, cant wait.

I consider myself firmly entrenched in the Windows 8 Tablet sphere for my laptop/tablet portable needs. I'd suggest others wait for the next gen Haswell/Bay Trail, systems later this year though. Things I'm looking for:

The rumoured Wacom tablet. If that tablet includes the additional buttons, superior control panel, hotkeys and Intuos/Cintiq stylus, I'll be a very happy camper.

An Apple version of the convertible tablet. I'd love to have one of these with Apple's level of attention to polish and design. May be a fantasy.

Otherwise, I might wait a year or two before replacing this, possibly with an Atom-based model.
