Hi, I tried to play streams games on iPad Pro via jump-desktop and a PC in another room. The performance for even 2D game is not so good. Then I read that one could use Steam Link. What are the advantages doing it that way? I tried to try it but my MS Xbox Controller cannot be paired with my iPad via Bluetooth. Perhaps it does not have Bluetooth as I think I have a receiver on my PC. In case of needing to buy a new controller, which is the recommended one to buy?

Advantages: all of the processing happens on the host computer, not the device

Disadvantages: if your network speed is not fast or stable enough, it will be an abysmal experience

Controller support is iffy, I wouldn't be surprised if Xbox controllers only worked with Xbox and Windows. You could look for something that says it supports iOS, like 8bitdo, though I personally don't think they're that great or offer a control layout I like

Newer Xbox controllers will work. We have an Xbox one s that’s a few years old and it works. Just need to find one with newer Bluetooth tech.

Mine is a first generation XBox Elite. I heard that the 2nd gen has Bluetooth.

I can confirm that my first gen Elite controller does not have BT, but my second gen does.

If give a chance, would you get the second gen again or get the Sony PlayStation 5 controller?

I love the PS5 controller for the adaptive triggers and impressive vibration functions, but consider iOS doesn’t support these I would probably stick with the Xbox Elite 2 if in your budget. Either is a great controller though.

How you going play games like Ford Horizon 5 on an ipad if you don't stream it ?

I don’t play that game so I don’t know the requirements. Can’t we use Remote Desktop programs like Jumpdesktop or duet air?
