I am sure it's going to be a $1250-$1500 phone.
The camera hasn't changed much since the iPhone 5
The iPhone 4 to the iPhone 5 Camera upgrade is bigger than the 5S to the X
That's 4 years and it really hasn't change except in the 8MP to 12MP jump. But it hasn't helped.

I keep recording my videos at 4K 60fps even if I realized how useless that is... If you happen to have a 4K display at hand every time you want to watch one of your videos, that'd be perfect. It's not the case for me. And it stutters like crazy on my rMBP either way.

Always better to master at the max you can shoot and render (down) a version for lessor playback hardware than shoot for that lessor hardware and cap how good what you shoot can look at that level. Future you will appreciate that you shot at beyond what you could always play in 2018.

One step at a time.

The iPhone doesn't support 4K HDR yet.

Probably by 2022 or later.
iPhones can barley do 4K 60fps, let alone 6k...
Again with that amount you will probably need a even more bigger memory. I highly doubt they gonna spend that amount of money to mass produce anything like that anytime soon.

My tv is still 1080p, no plans on replacing anytime soon.

How many people use a phone to display content on a TV? 0. It all goes on FaceBook or YouTube, where 720p reigns supreme. Nobody wants to spend 2GB of their data limit just to watch some **** video of a bunch of losers with some dog ears superimposed over their face

I laughed when I read the title. Get a standalone camera instead.
