I recently bought an Mp7,1 and want to use my W9100 GPU. I keep running into the Sleep Wake Failure in EFI issue.

I believe that I've implemented all the tweaks to reduce or eliminate this issue, but I'm still getting it after an overnight sleep. I've read that Big Sur improves some Catanlina problems. Some post on various sites seem to only focus on Catalina. I'm looking for a "with BS make sure you do these thing" and "here is how you can expect the system to behave" Here is what I've done so far:

  • Upgraded to BS via a fresh install.
  • Found a recommendation to run sudo nvram -c in Catalina before doing the BS upgrade.
  • Did a fresh Catalina install and did the NVRAM clear, then did a fresh BS install.
  • Removed the MPX 580 card
  • Installed the W9100 in Slot 1
  • I'm using MiniDP to DP cables (no adapters)
  • Energy Saving that are on. "Wake for network access" and " Enable Power Nap" - Should these be disabled as well?
Thank in advance.

No additional thoughts? 😞 I remember seeing a CLI command to change the sleep settings beyond the what the Perf Panel has. I'll have to find that again. I'm not know sure how helpful it will be here. I think it more for laptops.
