I have read and heard that the only difference between a 7447A and 7448 is that the 7448 uses less power. I have questions though. 1)I read these chips are cooler, but by a significant amount, especially for a laptop? 2)It says these chips are 90nm or something, what does this mean and how is it better compared to the 7447A? 3) What are other advantages if youre familiar with these two chips and should it influence my purchase of an ibook bc i want to buy one soon and am hoping a 7448 chip is in the next revision. Is this chip worth waiting for? Thanks!

they are the different revisions of Freescale's G4 processor.

i dont know the specifics myself, but i think you can look up the wattage usage on apple's page by checking out the tech specs, i would imagine that it does have better power usage, hence the reason for using it, dont know about any of the other stuff though.
