Attached is a poster that I have thrown together quickly in Pages (and saved as a Word doc from there). We have printed out about 500 of these posters, and going to ANY business that we see on the SOPA supporters list and posting these all over their parking lots and driveways. We are going to go to FedEx Office tomorrow and get some blown up versions made as well to put at the driveway entrance. Usually Wal-mart complexes have traffic light intersections when you enter, we want to put a blown up version as soon as you turn in at that traffic light. I have a $300 budget for this, and will spend every penny of it fighting this where I can.

If someone can also help me create a different version that will attack bus stops and train stations. These will only say "Stop SOPA" and list some facts and info about it (if one can do this and upload it here, that will be great).

I also would like one for school hallways in colleges, and the college one will be easy, as I just have to turn in a stack to the Student Center, and they will put them up around campus for me.

But please, lets all get along, and join hands, and put these posters up all over the city, wherever you legally can. Please Please Please! This is needed, I don't want the internet as we know it gone!

SUPPORT THE FIRST AMENDMENT! Don't let anyone yell at you when putting these up, if they do, then put it up on the public property portion prior to the driveway, such as the sidewalk!

Above is a link to companies that DESERVE THIS POSTER plastered where you legally can!

Nothing at all. What can I do really? Sure I could not use the internet for 24 hours but what good is that going to do? I think just morally supporting the larger websites that are protesting is about all there is to do.

Encouraging friends and family to at least submit an automated email to their representative.

I have done that as well. I am glad that there are people out there doing something, rather than being lazy, like most people who don't even bother to vote :)

Sent emails to my representatives. Encouraged friends and family to do the same. To find out your rep I used Wikipedia because they have a link to find your rep.

I watched all the porn I could. I, pun intended, may have single handedly taken down SOPA.

Maybe we should leave random posts about a number or where we leave our purses on facebook.

Or a combonation of our birthdates, area code, zip code to raise awareness.

"If this law passes, you’ll wake up to find sites you love blocked by the US government. "

A lot of the guys using various file-sharing sites have found this already..... :)

Since I am in full support of SOPA, I am doing nothing but watching the fireworks whilst subtly smiling to myself in a smug sort of way.

It was only megaupload, and that was shut down illegally by Team America Wold Police. Fortunately this tactic doesn't work in countries that don't bow down to the whims of the American government, like Sweden.

I do find it disturbing that the FBI is now involved in overseas affairs. Your quip seems to be more and more of a reality. I understand that MU had US server stacks, yes, but the owners were in a different country...

It doesn't matter. If you murder someone and leave the country, that doesn't mean you will get away with it. If MU didn't have servers in the US, then it would be a different scenario.

Murder isn't a proper analogy because it's illegal everywhere. Downloading copyrighted material isn't illegal everywhere.

It's like the Russian KGB coming to the US, detaining US citizens, and charging them with breaking the law in Russia.
