I set up to trade it in on amazon last weekend. Shipped it Monday (3/5) and today was just issued $350 in amazon credit.

This was for a white 16GB wifi iPad 2

Sold my iPad and my wife's (both 32gb wi-fi) for $400 each off eBay last week. Could've gotten more on eBay, but after fees probably not.

sold my 16gb black for $400 today :D

Geez, you can buy it new for that.

I sold mine for $350 locally via Craigslist, and it was a perfect condition refurbished one since I got it replaced at the Apple store before selling. And I was happy with that price given that I was selling after the price drop and thats what Apple is selling refurbished for with a year warranty.

If I decide to sell my white AT&T iPad 2 32GB 3G, I'll first advertise it locally.

Not making any decision until I can get to an Apple store and see and hold the third generation version. Can't justify spending $750 sight unseen, especially as my current iPad works perfectly.

That won't be for a while since the nearest Apple store is around 250 miles away, which is okay since I just read that the new iPad is sold out worldwide and shipping delays are now at three weeks.

Selling my black 32 GB Wi-Fi iPad 2 to my parents for (the equivalent of) $440. Note that the higher taxes in Sweden means a higher RRP than in the US.

I sold my 16Gb Wifi iPad 2 a few weeks ago for $450, pretty pleased.

Originally was going to send it to Gazelle, but found out that RadioShack was taking trade ins and actually gave me a higher quote than Gazelle. I ordered my new iPad from Apple, but I'll deal with the store credit from RS. I go there occasionally anyway.

Old iPad will be relegated to washroom reader duty. (hey you can disinfect an iPad but not books/magazines!)

Sold my out of warranty first gen iPad 64 3g for 350 via craigslist. Happy about it, as I got it for 429 from AT&T.

My 64 3G iPad 2 will be going to the wife and her 32 3G is gong to the kid. Glad I don't have to sell this time.

iPad 2 64GB WiFi + 3G have taken a huge hit on eBay as of late. There are over 300 listings and many people set very low reserves or no reserve. Most appear to be going in the high $400s now, and even then some have no bids with just hours left. This maybe the biggest loss I've had on an Apple product on eBay. Its insane to think how popular the iPad 2 was and how many are upgrading to the new iPad.

Selling my 16GB WIFI + 3G AT&T today for $350 via CL. Would've liked to get more, but that's life and I'm only out of $200 and some change for the new one this weekend.

Seems like the lower end models are holding their value much better over the 64GB WiFi + 3G models. I'm debating about using Apple's trade-in an putting the two iPad 2 64GB WiF + 3G value towards a new Thunderbolt Display. Then giving my 2010 27" iMac to my mother, selling the modded maxed out 2011 Mac mini server I gave her in Dec on eBay. I would end up with the same out of pocket costs and finally complete my move to the 2011 15" MacBook Pro. Decisions. Decisions. Decisions.

If you're trading in, check out Amazon instead of Apple--think they're offering $100 more and you can buy the thunderbolt display through them as well, saving about another $110 (give or take, depending on your local sales tax rate). Going this route you'd save $300+ vs. trading/buying through Apple.

Thanks. Sales tax in CA is high, so the savings will be good. I just need to wait for shipping and handling time.
