My white noise machine...have to make it louder, but I’ve been playing it all day to see if it will block out various animals and neighbors.
It -amongst other things kept me up all night- and I think it did the same for the person living below me...:(

I guess I have to figure out how to sound proof my bedroom without modifying the room since we rent.

And now, original devil dog barking.

Commiserations.

How thin are the walls?

I love the thick walls of older houses, apart from everything else, they offer superb sound insulation.

Big juicy steak and some rat poison. Should work on the dog to!

The people buying our house were talking about where to put their drum kit when they came for a viewing.
I have to say (given how awful our new neighbors are), I couldn’t have wished for more!
Let’s hope it’s a big one!

Laughing about the drum kit, not the dog option (Now there are about 5-6 dogs btw us and the block behind that go at it).

Kind of wrecked through, I am home today and heard downstairs person say "No privacy today." If that was meant at me,:(:(

Seriously?

A big drum kit?

Smothered snigger.

Karma......

Rock drumming, or jazz drumming?

What a wonderfully apt and ironical outcome.

Hopefully thrash metal!

I live in a detached house. My next property is also detached with a bit more land.

But I’ve lived in flats (or apartments as you guys call them). I don’t envy you. It can be very annoying. Especially when neighbors are less considerate than you are.

Marc Jordan - Both Sides - 2019

Just found it yesterday and grabbed it on iTunes - very cool arrangement of Both Sides Now (Joni Mitchel) and People Get Ready (Curtis Mayfield) and others with 2 original songs also added

I really like the "less is more" engineering and sound production approach - drums and bass are prominent on most tracks but other than that it seems they tried to keep one instrument as the main focus / driver of the sound and leave lots of room for the vocals - nice album - great production

Listening to Chelsea Wolfe's newest album, Birth of Violence. Really interesting artist, and the album is great as well, once again. I really need to drag myself to one of her shows when she's playing somewhere close by.

That was pretty good. It has the type of sound that I can imagine being used in a Game of Thrones type of film, too.

Air - Talkie Walkie.

Such an audiophile's album. With a decent setup, either lossless run through a good DAC/amp and nice cans, or on a decent HiFi system from the vinyl, this album never disappoints.

Tons of detail, soundstage, and great music all around.

Dropping in on a 2006 Radio 4 album tonight. Enemies Like This.

Gotta make sure the speakers still work when time to drown out snowmobiles.

Here's the This is Not a Test track.

Dire Straits are brilliant, and that is a superb, and timeless track.

I adore Air, and agree that this is a superlative album, and absolutely it never disappoints; all the tracks are good.

I have it as a CD, and it is on my computer's iTunes, and also (naturally enough) on my mp3 player.
