It's that time of year again, everyone. No, I'm not about to send everyone to Whamageddon by playing THAT SONG. But seeing that we have people decrying thievery with deliveries being stolen without knowing for sure what is happening, and everything else going on with the commercialization of the season, I thought it would be good to remind everyone of the humanity of this time of year. So we're going back 108 years ago, and not only taking into account how historically accurate this video and song is, but how we should have a good long look at ourselves and see the humanity in ourselves. Enjoy.

P.S. Yes, you are hearing Carol of the Bells, but it is turned upside down. Normally it goes from the tonic down to the melody, but in this case they are playing it from the root note up to the melody.

Professional soldiers will always respect one another, equally they will peruse their duty to the end regardless of side...

A medley of Elton John's Rocketman (I Think it's Going to Be a Long, Long Time) and Sacrifice, featuring Dua Lipa, made in complete isolation.

Well dang.

I guess if you're actually in KOR there may be some restrictions.

Usually clicking on the red square with the white arrow gets them rolling. Sometimes they are blacked out and you have to click on the "watch on youtube" link...
Ah, I should have made myself clearer. I was asking how to put the video itself in the comment; following the instructions on the first comment doesn’t seem to work for me

Seriously, I love to see (read?) idiot-proof and clearly written instructions of this sort; not all of us are digital natives and what is second nature for some is an alien skill for others.

Just heard this one again, but never knew some of the story behind it. Apparently George's record company at the time was looking for a B side for one of his singles off of Cloud Nine. If I remember right, he wanted it to be the B side to When This is Love, as that was the second single off the album. While he and Jeff Lynne had the idea and were going to record it, Roy wanted to go along and watch the session..

The only problem: They had no studio to record it in.

Bob lent them his studio, as no recording studio was available on such a short notice. On the way there, George had to go pick up his guitar from Tom's house. Tom wanted to see what was going on, so he came along as well.

That song became Handle With Care.

Apparently they had too much fun with doing this, plus the song was deemed too good to be a B side, so they decided to have a go at it again. Nine songs later, The Traveling Wilburys, Vol. 1 was released. But this song started the entire thing.
