There was only one show performed in support of the 1992 release of Automatic For The People, on 19 November at the group’s old haunt, the 40 Watt Club in Athens GA. Here is the recently discovered complete film of this performance. Special thanks to Dan Aguar & Todd Ploharsky for film restoration. The audio is available on all versions of the 25th Anniversary Reissue of Automatic For The People.

That is a find; REM are excellent, and wonderfully redolent of some of the terrific music we had in the 1990s.

Anyone here follow "Leonid and Friends"? They are a cover band of a bunch of russian and Ukrainian guys who did a bunch of Chicago covers (my favorite band until I heard Aja) and are now branching out to cover BS&T's and EW&F tunes (a mix of Earth, Wind & Fire below). Just a killer group of players and singers.
I was wondering what would happen to them when the war broke out, but it looks like they're all on a US tour right now so I guess they're safe. I'm debating whether to drive from Ogden to Denver to see them; love this old music!

Just listened to the wonderful (and unforgettable) Duettino "Sull'aria", from Le Nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro) by W A Mozart, which was used - superbly - in an extraordinary and powerful scene in the middle of the movie, The Shawshank Redemption.

One of my all time favorite bands... Seen them way to many times and own way to much of their stuff... Love these guys! Have met Gene on a few occasions and was in the background during one of the TV shoots for Gene's TV show. Been a fan since the 70's!!
