Fun, EweTube just served me up a slice of this older stuff!

I got to hear him live a couple times, and have quite a number of vinyls in my collection of his records; but never got to play under him, in either high school nor college (he always tried to do workshops/pre-concerts with the up-n-coming kids in every city he ever played, a true inspiration and mentor).
There was a fusion/funk band I loved seeing in Dayton, OH (~1985); I got a call from them asking me to audition for their keyboardist's position (!); I wasn't at his level, but had to ask where he was going... he was hired to Maynard's touring/recording group (!!).

A guy on the synth thread of fb posted an old "barn find" Leslie speaker he found, that he attached a "Marshall" guitar logo to and threw his associates for a loop. I posted the response below.

But, this post is not about my modification; it's about my first time using MacOS's/Photos' "Search" function, and I gotta say I'm impressed! I knew I had photographed this mod, and it was in Photos somewhere, but no idea where/when. I did a search on "Rolaid", and damn if it didn't return two finds almost immediately! I'm impressed!

I can't decide which version I like better..

Two things:
I thought that song was a Bill Withers tune, it was Johnny Nash?

CBS Mornings did a contest for bands, who could make the best/most unique cover version of I Can See Clearly Now, and I heard their Top 5 (viewer vote after that). And they didn't include the bridge on ANY of them! That bridge is the greatest set of chord changes ever written, and they left it off! Gaahhhhh!!!

Listening to the soundtrack from "The Mission," which I think you may like, @Scepticalscribe. I've never seen the film, but the soundtrack is beautiful!
Agreed: The soundtrack is superb, while the film (movie) itself is extremely good, a compelling drama, superbly acted by an outstanding cast.

Actually, around a decade ago, or a little less, I attended an excellent and unforgettable live concert given by Ennio Morricone, (and his orchestra) - as part of one of his last European tours; it was a combined birthday and Christmas gift from my brother who had ensured that I had an excellent seat.

On the contrary... I'll post the absolute worst song (if you could even call it that) I've ever heard:

The only thing that's worse is the video of James Canupp singing "Looking for a City," but that's more of a meme than anything, so I won't post it. Look it up if you want to torture yourself even more.
