I preordered a 32mm Sport with white band for June delivery. Then I went on eBay and saw all the scalpers selling their April 24th delivery watches at extortionate prices. The feeling of contempt at Apple for letting scalpers do this made me go and cancel my order with Apple entirely.

Come on Apple, it's not that hard to stop scalpers. A limit of 1 per customer would have gone a long way.

This thing is going to lose most of its value within a year when V2 comes out anyway, and $350 over 12 months is about $30/month. Why should I pay the same price for June delivery as someone who gets their watch on April 24th?

Yes, they stayed up until 12:01AM PDT. But what if you're in a timezone where that's really inconvenient, or you have kids, a night shift to work, or whatever? Nothing like a good bit of discrimination to really piss off your fans.

By June, something better will have come out anyway. I'll wait until Apple is forced to reduce the price. For now, it's Fitbit and Jawbone for me.

A lot of people have legitimate reasons for ordering more than one, like buying for family. Sure, each person can create their own ID and make separate purchases, but that makes ordering for a family a much more convoluted process. And come to think of it, hard core scalpers will just create multiple IDs and place separate orders. So no, not so easy to stop scalpers while allowing legitimate customers to place orders in a reasonably convenient fashion.

Scalpers will always exist as long as people are willing to pay over retail. And now your pre order has the chance it will be purchased by a scalper. (And ultimately returned because they couldn't sell it to make a substantial profit.)

You are upset at Apple because your order won't be here till June, and your pissed that scalpers got the jump on you and stayed up late to preorder? Your accusing Apple of discrimination because you didn't preorder?

Yeah, stick to your Jawbone and Fitbit, that will show Tim Cook!

Dude many of the rest of us have responsibilities, jobs, families, etc.....and we wanted a newly released Apple product, so we put our big boy/girl pants on and got up/woke up to preorder. You are silly.
