At the moment my favorite are Things 3 and Alftred, but I'd like to learn of more apps that could help me increase my productivity. What are your top picks?
Firefox, Thunderbird, LibreOffice, Eclipse, JAVA, CCC,
Audacity, iMazing, MacVim, ShutterEncoder, Skim, VLC Media Player.
Own production (in JAVA and with different names): StageManager, Paint, Agenda, Crash Manager, File Manager,
Binary Editor and several utilities for creation and maintaining applications.
Concluding: NO APPLE mail, agenda, languages, office or back-up.
Still happy,
;JOOP!

Snagit for screen capture, I pretty much use that on a daily basis. Sadly they went to a subscription model, I'm actually using the 2020 version - until it breaks.
Proton Mail, Proton products (mail/drive). While I use my icloud email, I have use proton for much of my email needs. My iCloud email is mostly for apple purchases
MS Office including OneDrive. Not a fan of OneDrive but it gets the job done
