Hey there! It's the perfect time to give this thread a bump. Jeans are great, but sometimes it's nice to switch things up. I personally love a good pair of chinos. They're comfortable and versatile and come in a variety of colors and styles. Another option to consider is joggers. They're comfortable and now available in various styles and materials, from dressy to casual. One tip I want to give you is to add suspenders to your wardrobe. They're great for holding up your pants in a comfortable way. Mainly I buy them here https://www.gentlemansguru.com/product-category/accessories/suspenders/. So, that would be great if you shared your suspenders here.

I don't have favorite pants, I'll wear sweatpants in the house, i.e., day-time pajamas, and then dungarees when I go out. I'm at an age, that I wear what's comfortable regardless of the look. Life is to short to adhere to fashion constructs that force people to wear things that are uncomfortable but look "cool"

Chinos (sometimes referred to as "khakis") can be very comfortable and come in all colours.

I have several pairs, and you can dress them up, or down, as needed.

Re jeans, I have always been partial to Gardeur trousers (they are a good quality German brand, stylish and comfortable) and I also have some of their jeans. Jeans don't have to come in the classic blue; mine are black, and dark navy in colour.

I guess that nobody in this forum wears SpongeBob's square pants :(

I am assuming that Chinos are a type of pants, not just Khakis? For example, not too long ago military members would wear military khakis pants and shirts during the summer. I also believe that the Chinese US immigrants introduced the so called "Chinos." I could be wrong, but "Chinos" means something like, people from China in Spanish. Please feel free to correct me, since the word could be considered by some to have racial undertones (?)

Opps! I was wrong:

My favorite pants are ones that are comfortable and loose-fitting. Cotton during the hot summer, and synthetic blends if raining. Then synthetic blends during the winter with the appropriate layer of insulation depending on ambient temperatures. Dressing "casual" does not have to be expensive.

What kind of jeans do you wear and do they make your butt look good?

Sorry for the funny title

I stick to one brand of denim jeans and have done so for the past few years. Recently I was gifted a 2 pairs of jeans upon a family visit to the coast. One gift came from my grandma, and another from my mother. Both were the same brand of jeans; a brand that I haven't worn since I was a teenager.

Upon trying these new branded jeans, I noticed they did in fact made me look good...however, they are extremely uncomfortable. They don't allow for as much freedom and movement and agileness throughout the day. For this honest reason Im considering returning the jeans for store credit and of course letting both my grandmother and mother know why I can't continue to wear them.

But it got me thinking that in comparison, the original denim jeans that I've been wearing for years, although they allow for much more movement throughout the day, they definitely don't look as good as the form fitting butt enhancing new ones.

Lol, anyways, thanks for reading.

I suppose the question is comfort vs fashion

I buy mine from Lucky Brand - they're comfortable and my ass looks *fantastic*.

Summer - Dickies carpenter shorts. Generally these fall about an inch below the knee.

Winter - Dickies carpenter pants.

In both cases I have a belt. That's Wrangler and so far it hasn't failed in the past ten years or so I've had it. I've been waiting so I can replace it with a Dickies belt.

As to look - you'd have to ask my wife.

Stretchy jeans, look like jeans but are less restrictive. I like straight cuts, not very tight or loose, but regular jeans feel bad to move in, so the stretchy kind are a good compromise. I go for a darker washed-out blue, just because I haven't found any grey or black colours.

I wear jeans from WalMart when I wear jeans which isn't often these days. I used to wear them to work daily. The WalMart jeans last forever and I suspect that there is one from the 1990s in my rotation.

Most days, I wear New Balance workout pants. These run close to the skin but are not tights. They are in-between tights and pants. They usually have zips at the ankles and pockets, sometimes with zips. What I love about them is that I can just go outside for a run in them if I feel like it.
