Oh, yes... Arrested Development. That was always a funny show to watch whenever I could remember that it was on... :(

MythBusters and Forensic Files were always fun to watch when I went home to the folks who had digital cable (we just have the basic channels--we're cheap-o's)

arrested development
lost
daily show

kids in the hall reruns

that's about it, i guess. house is pretty good, but i don't make plans to watch it or anything. i think i'm more of a music/movies/live theatre kinda guy.

Arrested Development :(
American Idol
House
Lost
My Name is Earl
The Office
"Everybody Loves Raymond" and "Seinfeld" re-runs on TBS

Monty Python's Flying Circus
Seinfeld

Thanks for using the word "new" - being a die-hard Whovian, I detest it when people say they enjoyed the "first season" of Dcotor Who (in reference to the 2005 season). Really? The first season, which aired in 1963?
Don't get me started on this one... :p

I'd put Doctor Who – both the original version and the recent Series 27 ;) – very high up on my list as well. I'm also quite partial to a bit of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Blackadder, Father Ted and The Office too.

Blackadder and The Office (BBC) are a couple favorites of mine as well, but Doctor Who ranks above them both hands down. ;)

Yeah, I know how you feel... I like the old series, too, but nowhere nearly good enough to get into my top 10 (or more like top 18-20) list, the new series was... ;)

i have eaten at the restaurant in the show. Its pretty good.

Me too :D I believe it's been refurbished in recent years and doesn't trade on the connection quite so much. Was damn fine cherry pie though.

Loved the show too when it was on along with some of the others mentioned; but I think I covered those in last year's thread.

We don't miss any shows, even with just 5 channels we still get all the big series from the states along with local shows, movies and lots and lots of sport.

We might get all the big series from the States and UK, but in some instances have to wait months or years after they've screened elsewhere. Or the really good stuff gets shown at ridiculous timeslots, where it never finds an audience and then gets shoved around the schedule.

My favourite example of this is "Friends". Channel 7 in Australia bought the first series, but due to some reciprocal broadcast rights problem, Channel 9 bought the second and subsequent series. So, we're left with the problem that Channel 7 doesn't want to screen it's single series that'll lead into another channel getting the viewers! I think we finally got to see sometime into when the third series was being shown in the States!

We also have the problem of stations airing shows and then stopping them mid-season (or wherever they please) and calling it "the season finale". Did you know "Veronica Mars" season one apparently ends before Veronica finds out who killed Lily?

Fortunately, we have the internet and multi-region DVD players to be able to see television as it's meant to be seen!

Oh, and my favourite stuff, in no particular order:
Scrubs, Veronica Mars, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, My Name is Earl, Doctor Who, Blake's 7, The Tomorrow People, The Avengers, The Professionals, Life on Mars, Spicks and Specks... at least to start with.

My favourite TV show ever...

The Good Life!

Recently I've been enjoying My Name Is Earl, American Dad and Family Guy, and have been rewatching Spaced and Black Books as well.

Hmm, I watch too much tv..

Arrested Development
The Office (UK)
24
Seinfeld
Lost

There are a few other shows I really enjoy like House, Alias, E-Ring, and a couple more that I've loved a few seasons and hated the rest, such as Scrubs. First two seasons are gold, season three was good, while seasons four and five have been very disappointing.

My favorite shows are restricted to Sunday nights:

The West Wing
Grey's Anatomy

I take a walk around the neighborhood at 9pm.

EDIT I'm starting to enjoy The Office as well, but so far only via iTunes.
