I think this feeling will be with us for a while.

Apart from the cool little “quality of life” updates that Apple make, such as speed, cameras and this year the action button, tech is at somewhat of a standstill.

Sure, we have the foldable gimmick at the moment, but it’s just repackaging the tech we have into another form factor.

We have seen in our time the jumps such as the 3GS > 4 and 7/ 7 Plus > X. Since the iPhone X released, there has been no major “wow” moment. Since the iPhone X, we’ve had the perfect glass/ metal device. Where do we go from here? I believe we will be massively limited to incremental upgrades in the iPhone and similar devices for a while now.

Looking forward to the dynamic island, 120 Hz screen and the titanium finish. I am also coming from 12 Pro to 15 Pro. Was supposed to be delivered today, but now delayed till Monday. Hoping to be wowed, but I am thinking it will be more of a "ok, cool" and then just move on.

I don’t have it yet. Still gotta order it. I’m using iPhone 11 right now, but man I love the iPhone 15 pro max. It’s gonna be so awesome to take it traveling and just laying in bed and browsing.

I think it just might be an upgrade to my iPhone 11,

I like it but I am disappointed with the natural ti. I like my 14 pm in deep purple better than any of the colors this year. As much as I like the rounded edges, lightness of phone and the titanium finish I think I am sending it back….
Same here! I love my 14 purple pro max so much, I’m not sure I’d love another color phone as much. If I were to decide to buy the 15pm then I’d probably go white.

Playing Honkai star rail after the showcase Apple did on my iPhone 15 pro max and the frame rate keeps dropping on max settings. Not impress at all.

Disappointed because it feels cheap (in the hand) to me compared to my iPhone 13 pro. Not sure why. Also don't like the titanium blue color. I find it too dark (closer to black than a true blue).

Definitely feels lighter, and more comfortable to hold with the rounded edges. I’m disappointed in the space black, which looks more of a graphite, or dark gray to me, as soon as I can get to a Apple Store and check out the other colors I’ll decide whether to swap for something else. From the pics I’ve seen white or natural may be the way to go, or I’ll just polish this bad boy myself.

Phone is great, love the island and small bezels, but they need to fix backups in iOS 17.0.1/17.0.2. Wasted 5 hours of my life today, and my phone is currently still attempting to spit out a 27GB backup when they used to be 3 prior to updating from 17.0.

I was thinking of going white as I love the color. What I dislike about the white is the bright silver finish on the sides. I have never liked that contrast. The white is beautiful though….

13 PM —> 15 PM. Bezels are great. Phone is also very light and comfortable to hold compared to my previous device. I like my MLB and NFL scores in the dynamic island. Haven’t played with the camera much yet.

I like it. Already set my battery to the 80% cap. Natural titanium looks good and it’s nice in the hand.

I really am enjoying my Black Titanium Pro Max. Feels great in hand. A bit lighter. Brighter outside. Camera seems to take nice pictures indoors.

Is it a big upgrade from my 14 Pro Max, not at all but neither was the upgrade from the 13 Pro Max to 14 Pro Max.

The last great upgrade was the X. All of the phones since then have been iterative updates and minor improvements but in total I enjoy a new phone each year.

My 14 Pro Max will however be a nice upgrade for my son who will be taking it over to replace his iPhone 11.

Coming from a 13pm to a 15pm.

I like the weight of the 15pm, and prefer it, though the 13pm felt like a more solidly built device.

I like 6E since I have the network hardware to support it.

I like that it was largely free for the device.

The cameras nice, but it was nice on the 13pm too. Is it enough for the upgrade in my use case. Meh. But it’s noticeably better.

Other than that. My first impressions are I could have kept the 13pm another year. If I paid more than $200 out of pocket for the phone, I’d return it and keep my 13pm.

I like my new 15 pro max coming from a 14 pro max. Yeah, it is a bit odd to hold the 15 pro max and not have that weight that the 14 pro max had. But other than that, I like all the quality-of-life enhancements this phone has.
Same here, that’s the “jump” I made if you can call it that. Super happy with my 15PM!

Got a 15pm natural and my Dad is taking my 14PM purple to replace his 11.

I do love the rounded edges, portrait mode changes, camera changes with
12/24/48 mp modes and a few other smaller things.

Not leaps and bounds over my 14PM but since I always go case-less this is awesome to hold compared to my 14PM which always dug into my hand.

Upgraded from a normal Pink 13 to a Natural 15 PM. Biggest motivation was my mom needing a new phone and not being techy enough to justify the latest and greatest so I’m giving her my Pink 13 which is more than enough for her.

Love the color, I made the right choice. Initially I wanted Blue but switched to Natural by the time pre-orders happened.

It feels a lot faster to me and I love how sharp and big the screen is. I never upgraded from iOS 15.1 on my 13 and was a little surprised at how much hasn’t changed with iOS. Haven’t fully used the cameras but I do notice the difference in the inside photos I’ve taken.

Overall it doesn’t feel like that big of deal but I love my new phone and I’m happy I upgraded.

12 Pro Max to 15 Pro Max (Both blue)

Even with the 12 Pro Max which wasn't as heavy as later models, the lightness and BARELY smaller dimensions make it feel like a smaller phone / easier to hold with the subtly rounded edges. This is how an iPhone should feel in the hand (versus the last ones that cut into your palm).

Very fast / good camera.

Despite the benefits, the shiny stainless steel outer bands felt / looked more luxurious / premium to me. This feels more like my mini. Titanium and Aluminum feel and look very similar.

I think titanium was the right way to go, but the stainless steel was very pretty and felt so solid.
