My ship dates are Jan 28 - Feb 4. I hope that they can deliver earlier!

Any update on your shipment.

I ordered M1 Max 64GB which took the time to 8 weeks. I am not sure if anyone in this thread got BTO configuration earlier than promised.

My wallet is hurting just looking at Max+64gb+Applecare haha.

You have no idea how much time it took for me to arrive at that decision. In India it’s anyway super expensive but I convinced myself with reasons that cannot be stated openly without being mocked. I just hope the laptop lasts for 5-6 years at least. Also I would hate if M2 chips were announced this Spring which would be terrible. I hope M1 chips are on a different cycle.

Ordered Dec 14th… M1 Max/32 core GPU/64gb memory/2tbs SSD/16” dark grey… given Feb 8-21st for delivery window.

ordered 23/11/2021, received it exactly on the 8 week mark, with a predicted window of 6-8 weeks. Same spec (16 inch, M1 Max 32 core, 64gb, 1tb). Location Belgium.

it's worth the wait though...

Outside of physical damage, it absolutely should. I'm typing on a maxed-out Late 2014 5k iMac, 7+ years old and still going strong.

Here in the UK I ordered my 16” MBP custom build mid November, estimated delivery date has now been pushed back to end of March, maybe early April! boo

That’s crazy. I’m in Switzerland and I got mine in less than a month after I ordered it. Mins was a custom build as well. I hope yours arrives soon!

I got my 16" MBP Space Gray/M1 Max 32 core/4TB/64gb on launch day via store pick up as they had 1 in stock. I initially ordered with 2TB SSD right when preorders went live but ship date was mid November at the time so I cancelled the online order and paid a little more and picked up the 4TB one from in store.

Sorry to hear this and I hope you get it sooner than that. I am surprised there are so many rumors of iMac when it’s hard for apple to keep up with their orders from late last year.

I have a 2021 14" base model in space gray on order from Adorama.
Ordered 11/28/21.
Around mid-December, their page said "expected arrival Jan. 28th". OK, I'll wait a little longer.
Jan. 28th came and went.
Today the page just says "on backorder".
Guess it's time to call and cancel out, and order from somewhere else.
(Got $200 off as a Black Friday weekend special, but that's no good if it's vaporware...)

Wait, that doesn’t sound right. Did you order via a reseller?

Yeh, I went KRCS as they were 10% off the price. Kind of wish I’d ordered from Apple direct now but the discount paid for the SSD upgrade. Will just have to keep using the Mini for now.

Shipping dates if I ordered direct from Apple today are now showing as 22nd March to April 4th so I do think it is Apple that has slipped the date not KRCS - Apple likely do prioritise direct from Apple orders.

32GB 1TB dates are 2 to 3 weeks quicker than 64GB 2TB.

I guess I might end up changing my order to an iMac if they launch them soon enough!

I guess there is still incredibly strong demand so AAPL 1st Qtr 22 results should be good too ;)

My Adorama order also seemed like it was never coming. I got in touch with them and they gave me a date — turned out to be spot on (14” 10-core, 32GB and 1TB).

I got mine. It's a dream compared to my 2019 Macbook Pro 16" that overheated whenever external displays were attached due to the bug with the AMD 5300/5500M drivers that Apple never fixed.

I'm still shocked that I have use the internal display and 2 external displays simultaneously and the fans are silent!

The only issue is an audio converter app that fails to decode files, and of course my Parallels Windows VM doesn't work, but I expected that. I think I'm done with virtual machines as it's just too expensive to keep updating Parallels and managing the vm's. I have a Windows PC that I can use in the vm's place.

Here's my experience:
  • 14" M1 Pro 10 CPU / 16 GPU / 32GB RAM / 1TB SSD -> Ordered on 16th Nov 2021, delivered on 2nd Dec 2021 (original window was 10 Dec - 16 Dec)
  • 14" M1 Max 10 CPU / 24 GPU / 32GB RAM / 1TB SSD -> Ordered on 29th Jan 2022, first estimated window 23 Mar - 5 Apr
Both deliveries destination is Barcelona, Spain, and they were ordered directly through Apple Store Online

Thanks for posting this. I think the dates have significantly shifted in the new year.

16 inch M1 Max 64GB 1TB ordered January 24th and delivery window is March 16 to March 29.

You're welcome, but not so sure 100% of what you say, let me explain:

- 14" M1 Pro 10CPU / 16 GPU / 32GB ... if I order right now Apple says: 22 Feb - 1 Mar, so the estimated window is the same as past year when I ordered it, even 1 week less.
- All 16" BTO models says 8 Mar - 15 Mar, so similar dates (one month-ish)
- They seem to struggle a lot for 64GB Ram and/or M1 Max 32/24GPU on non BTO orders. They already were giving 6 to 8 weeks for these configurations to ship also past year, and they're giving it now as I can see from my order and yours.

So IMHO, waiting dates are still similar, maybe in some cases they increased 1-2 weeks, but nothing dramatic, factors that could influence this:

- Global worldwide chip shortage
- Chinese New Year's celebrations
- Mac Mini is rumoured to have same M1 Pro/M1 Max configurations and maybe they're saving stock in order to fulfill the shipping requirements for it.

Whatever it is, we must drink "patience juice" cause otherwise I will drive myself nuts, specially when you need the machine to work.

Mine's similar but with a .5TB drive. Ordered 12 January, estimate is 7 March - 18 March. From what a few others have said, Apple's been hitting the very end of those shipping estimates. Meaning I won't likely see mine until the 18th or so.
